Peter Flack har gjort det igjen :D

Skulle kose meg i påsken, men er dessverre ferdig med boka allerede :overrasket:

Her er verdens safari presse anmedelse av boka.

The title of this book is well chosen because in sport-hunting circeles. Peter Flack is himselv an Icon. There are few who have had the chance to hunt Africa as extensively and as thoroughly as he. Even fewer have taken the time and made the effort to both record their experiences and display their thropies for the benefit of others. What better way to learn about rare and elusive African game animal species than from somebody who has passionately pursued them in the pursit spirit of etichal, fair-chase hunting. In this regard. Peter has once again excelled himself. Hunting Icons of Africa is a gem, and a must read for all of those who love Africa and the sporting-pursuit of its wildlife.

All of us, experienced and inexpirenced hunters alike, hold our own concepts of the most beautiful, the most interesting, the most challenching, the "greatest" among Africa's game. No one in modern times, perhaps not ever, has hunted Africa as widely as Peter Flack, and few among us are as astute in our observations. This book is Peter's tribute to his own list of Africa's top twenty-five game animals, his "Icons of African hunting". Some of the choices are obvious, others are supriseing. Not all of us will agree, but no can dispute his right to his list. His "Icons" will fuel heated campfire discussions for many years to come!

Ikke alle de fem store ble funnet verdige denne gangen Craig. ( Ei heller SA's stolthet Kuduen  . )

Traying to reduce Africas's numerous and manificent big game species to a "Top 25 Iconic List " is much like proclaiming the best three catridges for heavy, medium and light rifle amongst well liquored experts around a safari campfire - you will no doubt get more opinions than you have experts. Peter Flack has been there and done that and commands my ear around the campfire. So regardless of whether or not your personal icons make Flack's list, or his order, this must read tome for all African aficionados will inspire, challenge and educate you.....and will most likely alter your list.

Peter Flack has demonstrated again why he is considered one of the most experienced hunters of African game. Very few contemporary hunters, who are not in the professional safari hunting industry, can show the personal experience of literally hundreds of painstakingly researched African hunts. Flack's dedication to detail, his trademark witty style and his passionate love of African wildlife make this a must-read for anybody contemplating an African Safari.
