Hvorfor finnes det ikke en engelskspråklig undergruppe her inne ?

Er det noe vi trenger?

Vil noen bidra med engelskspråkelige versjoner av gode poster som finnes på norsk?

Kammereglene oversatt til engelsk:

Short description: A Forum for those interested in hunting and shooting.

Purpose:

kammeret.no is created to promote hunting and shooting in Norway, and a meeting place for all who are interested in this, that the use of civilian weapons within the current legislation, and various topics that follow naturally from these activity's.

kammeret.no is organized, member owned and member-controlled, and promotes recruitment to hunting and shooting. This will be achieved by actively conducting a discussion forum for members, facilitating a focus on hunting, shooting and everything that affects this, and be point of contact for anyone wishing to use it. Norwegian Organization for Hunters and Shooters (NOJS) owns and operates kammeret.no, and the chamber can not be closed by anyone, either individual or of any time sitting in government. Honesty and professionalism will be a high priority.

Will we have:

- Discussion of shooting, hunting, weapons and home loading of cartridges, as this is regulated in accordance with Norwegian law, or ordered by the authorized organs the Norwegian Sports Association.

- A place to contact for answers, statements and discussions on everything that affects our activities, such as: technical issues, shooting techniques, hunting, weapons, weapons technology, loading of cartridges, etc., as well as legislation to the extent that this affects sporting shooting in the legislative framework.

- Well-behaved users and a good environment.

Users that are industry-related mentions this in the signature.

We will NOT have:

- Discussions or post about weapons used or acquired in self-defense context, carrying of weapons for use in self-defense, or other weapons-related issues that move beyond weapons used in peaceful purposes, ie hunting and sport shooting.

- Discussion about the weapons used or acquired for aggressive and active contexts, such as rebellion, civil war, overthrow of governments, mercenary activities, shooting against other people, etc. The exception here is the shooting and weapons technical issues within the defense in Norway or other countries, but only in the forms both in weapons technology and design that has clear parallels to similar Norwegian civilian shooting forms and weapons.

- Discussions of war or other conflict - armed or not - unless it specifically affects the relevant topics and activities.

- No flaming of persons. This may be so many things, but what we mean is that we simply do not do it here, members or not, on the basis of personal qualities, appearance, political or religious affiliation. Criticize case, not the person.

We do not rip up old conflicts or others' old statements to frame debate opponents. Such is to drag things out of their original context, and are rude and foul.

- Racism, Nazism, fascism and the like.

- Survivalism, building bunkers, bunker of weapons, ammunition, food, etc. These issues generate experience large amounts of noise. There are also several forums dedicated to this that does not affect our activities.

- Discussions and posts about politics, unless it affects shooting sports and hunting, as that operated in Norway in regulated forms.

- posts or other posts that reflect rogue attitude to laws and hunting and shooting, thats harmful to the reputation of our activities.

- Paintball and Airsoft, as this is so specific that it crosses the general interest in sports shooting.

- Incentives to the offense.

- Photos in the signature, please stay to plain text.

Netiquette:

This can briefly be described as good manners on the net, but has some elements that distinguish it greatly from daily interpersonal communication. All we have is the written word, therefore it is far more important to communicate accurately than otherwise.

Newer:

- Post offensive material. You do not know everyone's identity, creed, sexual orientation, health, any disabilities, family relationships and the like. We are all different, have different values and can be wounded by the things we usually think.

- Convenience individuals or groups. Personal attacks are directly foul, hurtful, and is very unserious for most people, especially outsiders who read the forum, and they are many.

- Publish private communication, , without all parties' explicit consent.

- Post irrelevant information.

- Post copyrighted material.

General:

- Do not write your messages in capital letters. PEOPLE do not like being shouted at!

- When you quote someone else: String out everything that is not directly necessary for your response. Nobody likes reading a long message quoted for the third or fourth time, only to be answered in one word: "Agree!"

- Resist the urge to "flame '(bomb) others on the web. Remember that discussion groups are made of useful opinions.

- Remember that some of the members on the discussion lists has members from many countries. Do not except them to understand your suggestions to TV, movies, or anything else that happens in your country.

- In the chat pages, you should be polite towards others and do not send large or offensive images.

If someone bothers you on the chat pages, ignore them - and they will eventually disappear. If that does not help, contact a moderator.

- Be careful what you type in a email. Email can very easily be passed on. Do not think that your email is read only by you.
