I reply en English as Norwegian it's a bit complicated language and don't want to use a translator and make a mistake , I have this problem with a old binocular, a cordless drill and a rangge finder... try different solvents alcohol and no way it end less sticky , but not clean, searching on Google found the solution : cocking oil , with a rag , I use sunflower oil , but anyone could work , it simply dissolve the sticky grumpy surface and let a clean plastic .... on the drill it have two rubber sides and doesn't clean well, I used baby powder ... an the powder stick on surface no more problem, hope it helps Daniel
