Jeevan Karloss
Hi, I know that it's not allowed to hunt using Air Rifles in Norway. But, Is it allowed to control the Rats in the farms?
bardp
You can apply to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority for a permit for pest control with an air rifle.
Olesøn
Proper traps are better though, check out the company Pelias.

jjrckd
The police does not have the mandate to to give you permission for this. I'm guessing Mattilsynet (as already mentioned) or Miljødirektoratet.
Chiefen.v-2
https://www.miljodirektoratet.no/om-oss/kontakt-oss/ and be prepared for no if you are not a certified pest controller. Isolated/shielded farm-I know what I would do... Neighbors or hikers that can see anything, don't. The police is actually using resources on such cases...
svenarild
As others have mentioned using traps or poison to get rid of the rats will be a lot more effective. Have personally had great effect with the new type of trap that operate with a piston (on gas) and kill the rat by breaking their neck when try to get to the food. The regulations on poison is strict now, but if you live/work on a farm, you have the ability to take pesticide certification, and then an addon certification for ability to buy rat poison.
