Kveen
Riddersholm
Well the gun is made in Belgium, but as fare as i can see there is no pressure test markings, but the finish is not that good looking, i would say that you have to take it to a gunsmith and let them test the pressure on it before shooting steel shells in it Best Regards Andi Riddersholm Andersen Edited March 12, 2009 by Guest
Kveen
thank you for the quick answer I'll take it to a gunsmith so they can test it. I've tried it once with steel and it seemed to work well. But i want to be sure before i really starts to use it.
Riddersholm
your welcome Hope it will take steel shells, i my self has an old Armas Lamber, it can take steel shells up and till a 24g load, and it shoots like a dream But it is not the pressure it self that is dangerous but it is also the setting of the chokes So good hunting

ean
Riddersholm
It is not a Sohn and Suhl, it has the ELG markings witch shows it is Belgium made, my best guess will be a Jules Pire shotgun, the markings are as good as the same, but do whit some differences The trangborring as you call it is 18,3 witch should be 1/2 but look for your self http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20belge/ar ... e%20gb.htm (it is the shotgun at the bottom page)

ean
The trangborring as you call it is 18,3 witch should be 1/2 ...and the fact it says "CHOKE 18.3" should have given me a clue. Missed that one. but look for your self http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20belge/ar ... e%20gb.htm (it is the shotgun at the bottom page) Couldn't get your link to work. Guess it's this one: http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20belge/artisans%20identifies%20p/a%20pire%20gb.htm. And yes, it definitely looks like the same gun.
